STORM SURGE MAP FOR COLLIER COUNTY
Below is an excellent map of the storm surge area from hurricane category 1 - 5 storms and is called a "SLOSH" map. The key point to understand is that a level 1 or 2 storm will flood everything up to Route 41. This explains the historic guideline to evacuate when a level 3 storm is announced because a level 3 will flood most roads within a mile of Route 75, our main evacuation route.
