LHAPS founder and owner, Marcia Breithaupt, is on the Advisory Board for the Collier County Domestic Animals Services and is a strong advocate for the adoption process. If you have friends or family looking for a pet, please stop by the DAS facility and you might be surprised at the loving animals needing a new home. Many are remarkably well mannered and often trained.

Current volunteer strength is at 275 people of all ages, including high school and college students, working families, and active seniors. All are a great group who have a deep love of animals and enjoy being in the company of others who share their love of animals. There is a short application and interview to match potential volunteers up with the type of volunteer work they want to do. If you have a special talent to offer, please let them know.

Please note: The facility is located on the WEST side of Airport Rd, just across from Michelbob's ribs.

LEE COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES
Although the Lee County Domestic Animal Services is not directly associated with our area, they do such a great job with rescues that we must give them special recognition. If you cannot find a pet that fits your family at the Collier DAS we strongly encourage you visit the Lee County DAS operation. It is remarkably clean, very supportive of the community, and has a huge selection of adoptable animals.

Our Mission Statement
The Collier Community Cat Coalition is a collaboration of animal rescue groups and community members working to reduce the number of homeless, free roaming and feral cats in Collier County through the development of effective Sterilization and Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Programs.

To create a Community where all residents of Collier County have an understanding and compassion for all homeless, free roaming and feral cats by sharing the belief that all life is valuable and worthy of protection.
